These pages are mostly for my hobbies, though there are some work-related links and some more things related to my studies at Lappeenranta University of Technology, LUT.
I have graduated as Master of Science in Engineering (with distinction), Information Processing Technology, on November 22nd, 2006.
Starting January 2nd, 2007, I work as a graduate school researcher in LUT and am funded by East Finland Graduate School in Computer Science and Engineering. My research project is rtmosaic, which includes real-time image processing.
While studying for my M.Sc. degree I did a special project called GMMBayes, which is a Gaussian mixture model based classifier toolbox for Matlab®. It is used in couple of projects that brought me some publications. It also seems that the Laboratory of Information Processing is not the only user of the toolbox.
My Master's thesis "Real-time Imaging and Mosaicking of Planar Surfaces" within the Papvision project has been accepted in the Departmental Council of the Department of Information Technology on November 15th, 2006. The report is publicly available in the publications of the Papvision project and the Department of Information Technology (direct link).
My interests include machine vision, real time applications, embedded devices, electronics, high-voltage or high-current devices, programming for Linux (C, C++, Matlab, Bash, etc.) and Open Source Software.
I follow the Nouveau project very closely and occasionally contribute. My specialty is the NV20 family Nvidia graphics cards. More can be found at my personal Nouveau page.
